Insurance moves: Swiss Re taps head of middle market casualty

Al-Ahli Takaful Co. announced the resignation of Hamed Mohammad Fayez as nonexecutive director after he was appointed as deputy minister of culture.

He left Aug. 2. the board will name a new nominee after it obtains required regulatory approvals.

Property and casualty

Swiss Re Corporate Solutions Ltd. tapped Chris Grabowksi as head of middle market casualty, Insurance Journal reported.

Grabowksi will oversee a team of middle market underwriters in North America. He replaces Diane Link, who was appointed head of excess and surplus casualty.

Grabowksi previously worked as expert products manager in casualty within the company. Swiss Re Corporate Solutions is part of Swiss Re AG.

XL Catlin's insurance operations added Naveed Khalidi and Michelle Jensen to its mergers and acquisitions insurance underwriters team.

Khalidi joins from Allied World Assurance Co., where he was senior underwriter for transactional liability insurance. Jensen joins from Ice Miller LLP, where she was M&A associate advising the company's M&A clients.

XL Catlin is the global brand used by XL Group Ltd.'s insurance and reinsurance companies.

Title

WFG National Title Insurance Co. named Theresa Williamson senior vice president and compliance and national training manager, according to The Title Report.

Williamson will manage the company's existing learning management platform, WFG Scholar, as well as oversee the transition to a new platform.

She most recently served as director of national refinance and real estate owned transactions for a U.S. underwriter.
