Yuanta Financial renames Vietnamese unit, makes personnel changes

Yuanta Financial Holdings Co. Ltd.'s board approved the appointment of Le Minh Tam as general manager and chairman of Vietnamese unit First Securities JSC, replacing Tran Thien The, who resigned.

The chairman appointment is effective Jan. 5, while the general manager appointment is subject to approval by the State Securities Commission of Vietnam, according to Jan. 5 releases.

Additionally, the Taiwanese company's board named Kuo Feng Hsiang, Lin Cheng Ming and Wang Hsiang Fan to the Vietnamese unit's board, replacing Tran Thien The, Quang Van Viet Cuong and Wu Jin Tang, effective Jan. 5.

The parent company also changed the named of the unit to Yuanta Securities Vietnam JSC, which was approved at a Jan. 5 shareholder meeting.
