Home improvement retailer Home Depot Inc. said Mark Vadon will not stand for re-election as a director at the company's annual meeting.
Vadon has been an independent director at Home Depot since August 2012.
Home Depot said Vadon's decision to resign did not result from any disagreement with the company on any matter relating to its operations, policies or practices.
In addition, the company said it amended its bylaws allowing shareholders holding 15% or more of the company's outstanding stock to call a special shareholders' meeting. Previously, that threshold was 25%.
