JSC KazMunaiGas Exploration Production, a subsidiary of state-owned National Co. KazMunayGas JSC, said Sept. 5 that it repurchased 3.77 billion Kazakhstan tenge worth of its preferred shares from Aug. 17 to Aug. 18.
A total of 294,702 preferred shares were repurchased at 12,800 tenge per share as part of a repurchasing program that was announced Aug. 13 and is scheduled to run until Nov. 16.
As of Sept. 5, US$1 was equivalent to 371.1 Kazakhstan tenge.
