Fanuc Corp. said its normalized net income for the fiscal first quarter ended June 30 amounted to ¥221.42 per share, a gain of 91.9% from ¥115.41 per share in the prior-year period.
Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was ¥43.33 billion, an increase of 91.8% from ¥22.59 billion in the year-earlier period.
The normalized profit margin rose to 26.5% from 21.2% in the year-earlier period.
Total revenue climbed 53.5% on an annual basis to ¥163.31 billion from ¥106.39 billion, and total operating expenses grew 35.1% on an annual basis to ¥96.92 billion from ¥71.75 billion.
Reported net income grew 99.0% year over year to ¥45.19 billion, or ¥230.96 per share, from ¥22.71 billion, or ¥116.06 per share.
