Atlas Battery Ltd said its normalized net income for the fiscal first quarter ended Sept. 30 amounted to 7.76 Pakistani rupees per share, an increase of 6.6% from 7.28 rupees per share in the prior-year period.
Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was 135.0 million rupees, a gain of 6.6% from 126.6 million rupees in the prior-year period.
The normalized profit margin fell to 3.9% from 5.3% in the year-earlier period.
Total revenue climbed 40.5% year over year to 3.35 billion rupees from 2.38 billion rupees, and total operating expenses increased 43.4% year over year to 3.09 billion rupees from 2.16 billion rupees.
Reported net income increased from the prior-year period to 157.1 million rupees, or 9.03 rupees per share, from 153.4 million rupees, or 8.81 rupees per share.
As of Oct. 27, US$1 was equivalent to 102.90 Pakistani rupees.
