Kirin buys back ¥22.23B worth of shares

Japanese beverage maker Kirin Holdings Co. Ltd. repurchased 8,392,600 shares between Aug. 1 and Aug. 31, according to a Sept. 3 announcement.

The shares were bought on the Tokyo Stock Exchange for a total consideration of ¥22.23 billion.

The move is part of the ¥100 billion share repurchase program Kirin announced Feb. 14.

The company has bought back a total of 31,251,600 shares under the program as of Aug. 31, for a total consideration of ¥90.71 billion.
