Vanguard exec quits; Berner Kantonalbank hires investment head

S&P Global Market Intelligence presents a daily roundup of management and board changes at financial institutions in Europe. This feature excludes C-level leadership changes and previously reported stories.

Vanguard Group

Traditional investment manager Vanguard Group Inc. said Gavin Lewis, head of U.K. institutional distribution, has left the firm after three years, Financial News reported, citing a person familiar with the matter.

Lewis, prior to joining the asset manager, worked at UBS Group AG's asset management arm and Russell Investments.

Berner Kantonalbank

Swiss regional lender Berner Kantonalbank appointed Andreas Schafer head of investment and major clients, replacing Armin Brun, finews.com reported.

Schafer, who served as a manager at Credit Suisse Group AG and held various roles at the lender, will take on the new role in December.

Schafer will also join Berner Kantonalbank's executive committee, the report noted.
