Heiwa Real Estate to boost board size

Heiwa Real Estate Co. Ltd. intends to increase its board size to six directors, from the current team of five, at its June 27 ordinary general shareholders' meeting.

The company is proposing the reappointment of Hiroyuki Iwakuma, Kazuo Yamada and Norio Iwasaki, whose terms are set to expire at the close of the meeting. In addition, the company named as candidates Shinichi Hayashi, Kiichiro Masui and Kiyoyuki Tsuchimoto.

Hayashi joined the company in 1984 and was most recently manager of the Sapporo branch. Masui is outside director at Japan Credit Rating Agency Ltd., while Tsuchimoto was most recently director and executive vice president at Tokyo Stock Exchange Inc.

The terms of Takashi Hayakawa and Shigeru Takagi will come to an end June 27.
