Woodford Patient Capital Trust, Nationwide Building Society make board moves

Woodford Patient Capital Trust

* Woodford Patient Capital Trust PLC appointed Jane Tufnell an independent non-executive director, effective immediately. She will also become a member of the company's audit, risk, and valuation committee and management engagement committee.

Tufnell, who was the co-founder of Ruffer Investment Management in 1994, is currently serving as the chair of Odyssean Investment Trust PLC and as senior Independent director at Record PLC. She is also a non-executive director at ICG Enterprise Trust PLC, Diverse Income Trust Plc and JPMorgan Claverhouse Investment Trust plc.

Meanwhile, Steven Harris will leave as a non-executive director at Woodford Patient Capital Trust Sept. 30.

Nationwide Building Society

* U.K.'s Nationwide Building Society named Phil Rivett a non-executive director, effective Sept. 1. Rivett spent 40 years at PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP and most recently retired as chairman of Global Financial Services in 2018.

Additionally, Lynne Peacock will retire as Nationwide Building Society's senior independent director and chair of the remuneration committee at the end of 2019. Mai Fyfield, currently a non-executive director at the company, will take over as chair of the remuneration committee Sept. 16.

Details about Peacock's successor will be announced closer to her retirement.
