Executive, director moves through Aug. 2

S&P Global Market Intelligence presents a weekly rundown of recent board and executive changes in the metals and mining industry. The moves are listed in chronological order.

July 29

GT Gold Corp. added Dale Finn as a board director, effective immediately.

Will Ansley stepped down as president, CEO and director for Lupaka Gold Corp., effective July 31, with Chairman Gordon Ellis taking up the roles. Meanwhile, Darryl Jones took over as CFO, replacing Ryan Webster, who resigned.

Paranapanema SA director Luiza Damasio Ribeiro do Rosario stepped down.

July 30

Liang Boyi was appointed nonexecutive chairman of China Nonferrous Gold Ltd., effective immediately, supplanting Wu Xiang.

Petropavlovsk PLC said Bektas Mukazhanov quit as a nonexecutive director, effective immediately. Mukazhanov represented the interests of Fincraft Holdings Ltd., which was sold by parent company Fincraft Resources JSC.

Peter Freyberg was named a director for Katanga Mining Ltd., replacing Mike Ciricillo, who resigned.

July 31

Thomson Resources Ltd. directors Lindsay Gilligan, Tony Belperio and Greg Jones left. David Williams and Richard Wilson took up nonexecutive director roles, with Williams also taking over as nonexecutive chairman.

David Chapman stepped down as a nonexecutive director for Dreadnought Resources Ltd., citing increased external work commitments.

Kin Mining NL added Nicholas Anderson and Hansjoerg Plaggemars to its board as nonexecutive directors. Chairman Jeremy Kirkwood and director Trevor Dixon vacated their posts.

Jeffrey Markoff quit as an Axiom Mining Ltd. nonexecutive director.

Moneta Porcupine Mines Inc. appointed Josef Vejvoda to its board.

Joanna Cameron and Anna Ladd-Kruger were added to the board of District Metals Corp., replacing Hani Zabaneh and Emily Davis.

Strategic Metals Ltd. director R.E. Gordon Davis died.

Peter Freyberg, a representative for Glencore PLC, took up a seat on PolyMet Mining Corp.'s board as a director. Mike Ciricillo vacated his seat on the explorer's board.

Aug. 1

Cougar Metals NL appointed Scott Reid a nonexecutive director.

George Lloyd assumed the CEO role for Sihayo Gold Ltd., effective immediately, succeeding interim CEO Tim Adams.

GFG Resources Inc. said Brian Booth took over as director, in lieu of Jonathan Awde, who resigned to pursue other interests.

Gordon McKinnon, who served as president and CEO of Canadian Orebodies Inc. and a nonexecutive director for MacDonald Mines Exploration Ltd., died.

Aug. 2

Intra Energy Corp. Ltd. added Mark Schwartz to its board as a nonexecutive director.

John Richards and Ian Macliver were tapped as nonexecutive directors for Sheffield Resources Ltd. Bruce McQuitty will retire as a nonexecutive director.

Kin Mining nonexecutive director Giuseppe Graziano was promoted to chairman after Jeremy Kirkwood left the post.

Dennis Edmonds joined the board of Pathfinder Minerals PLC as a nonexecutive director.

GoldStone Resources Ltd. said Richard Lloyd quit as a nonexecutive director to focus on other business ventures. A replacement independent nonexecutive director will be named later.
