Talga Resources outlines 1st graphite resource for Niska deposits at Vittangi

Talga Resources Ltd. outlined an initial resource estimate of 1.2 million tonnes of contained graphite at the Niska deposits, which form part of the Vittangi graphite project in Sweden.

The Niska north and south deposits host indicated resources totaling 4.6 million tonnes of ore grading 25.82% graphite, according to an Oct. 15 news release. The company plans to start a preliminary economic study on Niska in November.

The Australasian Joint Ore Reserves Committee Code-compliant resource is based on a diamond drilling campaign completed in the first half comprising 28 holes for 3,046 meters.

Indicated and inferred resources at Vittangi now total 16.9 Mt at 25.6% graphite, for 4.3 Mt of contained graphite, including the Nunasvaara deposit resource of 12.3 Mt at 25.5% graphite.

Talga Resources noted that the Niska estimate expanded its total JORC-compliant resource inventory in Sweden to 9.3 Mt of contained graphite.
