Exxaro Resources Ltd. expects first-half attributable EPS to jump between 41% and 54% on a yearly basis to between 12.05 South African rand and 13.15 rand.
Headline EPS for the half is expected to increase between 32% and 44% for the Johannesburg-listed company to between 11.60 rand and 12.70 rand.
The coal producer said Aug. 8 that the improvement is mainly due to a change in the number of shares as a result of a black economic empowerment transaction in 2017.
Higher coal sales volumes and prices will also have a positive impact on the results, Exxaro said. Results for the half are scheduled for release Aug. 16.
