Entergy New Orleans to reach 5-MW commercial rooftop solar goal

Entergy New Orleans LLC is poised to meet its goal to install 5 MW of distributed-scale solar through its commercial rooftop solar program.

The rooftop program is part of a broader commitment by the Entergy Corp. utility to install up to 100 MW of renewable resources.

Entergy New Orleans finalized plans to install 1.9 MW of rooftop solar at Transportation Consultants' Alvar St. building in New Orleans, which the utility said will make it the largest single rooftop solar system in the state.

In a Dec. 26, 2019, news release, Entergy New Orleans said it has the approval to add 95 MW of renewable projects, including a 20-MW solar project at NASA's Michoud Assembly Facility.
