Ashkenazy Acquisitions buys NYC retail asset for $38M

Asset manager Ashkenazy Acquisition Corp. bought a shopping center at Sheepshead Bay in Brooklyn, N.Y., from the LeFrak Organization Inc. for nearly $38.3 million, The Real Deal reported.

The 81,000-square-foot property at 3779-3861 Nostrand Ave. is leased to tenants, including German discount supermarket chain Aldi and Blink Fitness.

LeFrak Organization had owned the retail asset since at least the 1970s, the Jan. 7 report added, citing property records.

B6 Real Estate Advisors handled the sale on behalf of the seller.
