ROTH Capital Partners LLC appointed David Bain senior research analyst covering the gaming, leisure and lifestyle sector. Bain was recently managing director covering the gaming and leisure sector at Sterne Agee, Merriman Curhan Ford & Co. and the Seidler Cos.

Imperial Capital LLC hired David Burns as a senior vice president in restructuring and recapitalization in its investment banking group. Most recently, Burns worked as an independent consultant.

Matthew Brown, Kurt Krestinski and John Santonastaso joined BTIG LLC's fixed income credit group as managing directors. Brown joined from Jefferies LLC and Krestinski from Seaport Global Securities LLC. Santonastaso has earlier worked with Guggenheim and Cantor Fitzgerald & Co.

Sandy Martin and Kirsty Walker joined the employee broker unit of Raymond James from Merrill Lynch, Investment News reported. The two are joined by their associate Carol Battle who already moved to Raymond James.

Wedbush Securities Inc. appointed William Scott division manager of its wealth management department. Scott was previously senior vice president and office manager at the company.

D.A. Davidson & Co. hired Peter Heckmann as a senior analyst, covering public companies in the financial technology and vertical software sectors. Heckmann joined from Avondale Partners LLC.

Bank and thrift equity research analyst Kevin Fitzsimmons is no longer with Hovde Group LLC, S&P Global Market Intelligence reported. But the company is planning to expand its coverage universe, not shrink it, according to Head of Research Joseph Fenech.

Macquarie Capital (USA) Inc. hired Marc Berman, the former head of insurance investment banking at RBC Capital Markets LLC, as a senior adviser.

Merrill Lynch's Gary Cook and Kristina Daniel joined Raymond James & Associates Inc. as senior vice president of wealth management and assistant vice president of wealth management, respectively, in the Clinton Township, Mich., office. Cook and Daniel will be joined by Beth Decker, registered client service associate. In addition, Steven Friedman and Jeremy Friedman, along with senior client service associate Renee Johnson, joined the Raymond James Financial Inc. unit from Wells Fargo Advisors.

Goldman Sachs & Co. LLC is expected to hire Jeffrey Haller, a former RBC Capital Markets investment banker focused on asset management, S&P Global Market Intelligence reported. Haller is slated to join Goldman as a vice president after completing garden leave.
