Kadoya Sesame Mills Inc. said its normalized net income for the fiscal third quarter ended Dec. 31, 2014, amounted to ¥39.37 per share, a gain of 77.2% from ¥22.21 per share in the year-earlier period.
Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was ¥370.0 million, an increase of 77.2% from ¥208.8 million in the year-earlier period.
The normalized profit margin rose to 5.9% from 3.9% in the year-earlier period.
Total revenue increased 15.4% year over year to ¥6.26 billion from ¥5.42 billion, and total operating expenses grew 16.4% on an annual basis to ¥5.97 billion from ¥5.13 billion.
Reported net income rose from the prior-year period to ¥376.0 million, or ¥40.00 per share, from ¥182.0 million, or ¥19.36 per share.
As of Feb. 13, US$1 was equivalent to ¥118.68.
