Japanese auto parts supplier Denso Corp. is merging its subsidiary Denso Sales Japan Corp. with Denso Ten Ltd.'s two units, Denso Ten Sales Ltd. and Denso Ten Service Ltd. to form a new company called Denso Solution Japan Corp., effective April 1.
The companies to be merged are among Denso Group's domestic sales and service companies.
The move aims to expand Denso Group's automotive aftermarket business by utilizing the companies' combined sales and service networks throughout Japan and as well as their product planning capabilities in the fields of aftermarket products and accessories including those for fleet (commercial) vehicles, according to a news release.
The integrated company will increase cooperation between Denso Corp. and Denso Ten Ltd. to provide new products and services for car safety and security, connected driving, and other applications.
Denso Corp. had disclosed late December 2018 that it will make organizational changes in a bid to adapt to the shift brought by electrification, automated driving and connected driving in the automotive industry.
