SmartCentres REIT launches C$350M offering of series T debentures

Canada's SmartCentres REIT launched a C$350 million agency-basis offering of series T senior unsecured debentures due June 23, 2021.

The debentures will carry a 2.757% coupon, the retail real estate investment trust said, noting that it will use the net proceeds for existing debt repayment and general trust purposes.

Scotia Capital is the lead left book runner, while BMO Capital Markets, National Bank Financial, CIBC Capital Markets, RBC Capital Markets and TD Securities are the joint book runners and co-leads for the offering.

Desjardins Securities, Canaccord Genuity, Raymond James, GMP Securities, iA Securities, Casgrain and HSBC Securities (Canada) are the co-managers for the offering, which is expected to close on or about March 25.
