Kourakuen Holdings fiscal Q3 profit falls YOY

Kourakuen Holdings Corp. said its normalized net income for the fiscal third quarter ended Dec. 31, 2014, came to ¥12.57 per share, a decrease of 36.1% from ¥19.68 per share in the year-earlier period.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was ¥204.4 million, a decrease of 35.1% from ¥315.0 million in the year-earlier period.

The normalized profit margin declined to 2.2% from 3.3% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue decreased on an annual basis to ¥9.49 billion from ¥9.62 billion, and total operating expenses totaled ¥9.21 billion, compared with ¥9.13 billion in the prior-year period.

Reported net income fell 42.4% year over year to ¥133.7 million, or ¥8.23 per share, from ¥232.0 million, or ¥14.49 per share.

As of Feb. 12, US$1 was equivalent to ¥118.90.
