Daiwa Securities Group Inc. made several personnel changes at the company and at its units.
Toshihiro Matsui and Koichi Matsushita will become deputy presidents, effective April 1, the company said March 8. Matsui is currently a senior executive managing director and a board director, while Matsushita is a senior executive managing director.
Meanwhile, Shinya Nishio retired as deputy president of Daiwa Securities Group, effective March 31, though he will remain on the company's board. He also stepped down as deputy president and board member at the Daiwa Securities Co. Ltd. unit.
Nishio will become president and board member of Daiwa Investment Management Inc. and Daiwa Capital Holdings Co. Ltd., and chairman and board member of Daiwa Corporate Investment Co. Ltd. and Daiwa PI Partners Co. Ltd.
Further, Matsui and Matsushita were appointed deputy presidents at Daiwa Securities Co., effective April 1. Both are currently senior executive managing directors and board directors of the unit.
Yoshinori Matsumoto and Masataka Tsujimoto, executive managing directors of Daiwa Securities Co., were named board directors of the unit.
Additionally, Hiroyuki Inose stepped down as an executive managing director and board member at Daiwa Securities Co., while Sei Furuichi will leave as executive managing director and take up the roles of executive managing director and board member at Daiwa Asset Management Co. Ltd.
