Rogers Sugar Inc. said its normalized net income for the fiscal third quarter ended June 27 amounted to C$922,500, compared with a loss of C$748,750 in the year-earlier period.
Normalized net income excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis.
The normalized profit margin increased to 0.7% from negative 0.6% in the year-earlier period.
Total revenue climbed on an annual basis to C$130.6 million from C$128.4 million, and total operating expenses totaled C$126.8 million, compared with C$127.0 million in the prior-year period.
Reported net income came to C$940,590, or 1 cents per share, compared to a loss of C$940,290, or a loss of 1 cents per share, in the year-earlier period.
