Qol fiscal Q3 profit climbs 63.1% YOY

Qol Co. Ltd. said its normalized net income for the fiscal third quarter ended Dec. 31, 2014, came to ¥26.06 per share, a gain of 49.6% from ¥17.42 per share in the year-earlier period.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was ¥925.0 million, an increase of 63.1% from ¥567.3 million in the year-earlier period.

The normalized profit margin rose to 3.1% from 2.2% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue increased 13.0% year over year to ¥29.58 billion from ¥26.17 billion, and total operating expenses climbed 11.1% on an annual basis to ¥28.09 billion from ¥25.28 billion.

Reported net income grew 61.1% on an annual basis to ¥878.0 million, or ¥24.74 per share, from ¥545.0 million, or ¥16.73 per share.
