NextEra Energy Resources completes internal transfer of Iowa wind facility

NextEra Energy Resources LLC has completed the ownership transfer of the Crystal Lake wind facility in Hancock County, Iowa, from one indirect subsidiary to another, according to a July 3 filing with the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission.

FERC approved the transaction on April 17.

The transfer is part of the NextEra Energy Inc. subsidiary's plan to repower the wind facility and increase its installed capacity to 162 MW from 150 MW. After repowering, Crystal Lake will sell power through a 20-year contract with Alliant Energy Corp. subsidiary Interstate Power & Light Co. (FERC docket EC19-55)
