Trump signs $1.3 trillion budget bill after veto threat

U.S. President Donald Trump signed a $1.3 trillion spending bill that will fund the government through Sept. 30 after indicating hours earlier that he might veto the measure.

The legislation passed Congress with support from both Democrats and Republicans, but early in the day on March 23, Trump tweeted that he objected to its immigration provisions.

Trump said he signed the bill during an appearance at the White House.
