Moody's affirms American Assets Trust

Moody's affirmed its Baa3 issuer rating on diversified real estate investment trust American Assets Trust Inc., with a stable outlook.

The rating agency attributed the affirmation to the company's robust fixed-charge coverage, well-laddered debt maturity schedule and high-quality retail assets.

The stable outlook, meanwhile, mirrors the rating agency's expectation for American Assets to maintain a good liquidity position and conservative credit profile as it continues to lease up vacancy in its retail and office portfolio, thereby improving its leverage in the next 12 to 18 months.
