Power
* FortisBC Inc. and FortisBC Energy Inc. on Dec. 7 named Roger Dall'Antonia as president and CEO of both companies, effective immediately. He succeeds Michael Mulcahy, who died in November. On the same day, Fortis Inc. also announced that David Hutchens will take on a newly created role of executive vice president for western utility operations. He will continue as president and CEO of UNS Energy Corp. in Arizona while additionally providing oversight to FortisBC and FortisAlberta Inc. operations. Nora Duke was also appointed as executive vice president for sustainability and chief human resource officer of Fortis Inc.
* Eversource Energy appointed John Kim to its board of trustees, where he will serve on the audit and compensation committees, effective Jan. 1, 2018. Kim serves as president of New York Life Insurance Co., according to a Dec. 7 release.
* Sunrun Inc. announced Dec. 6. that President and COO Paul Winnowski will retire in early 2018. The company named Christopher Dawson as new COO, effective immediately. Winnowski joined Sunrun as COO in February 2014 and was appointed president in March 2017. He will remain with the company through early 2018 as president to assist with the transition of his duties.
* Solar Alliance Energy Inc shareholders, on Dec. 4 during the annual and special general meeting, approved the nominations of Jason Bak, David Lamont, Ken Stadlin and Michael Clark as directors of the company's board, according to a release.
* Enphase Energy Inc on Dec. 5 named David Ranhoff as vice president and chief commercial officer. Ranhoff will be responsible for all customer-facing activities including global sales, marketing and customer support, and will report directly to Badri Kothandaraman, Enphase’s president and CEO.
* PG&E Corp. on Dec. 4 announced that Executive Chair Anthony Earley Jr. will retire from the boards of the company and its subsidiary Pacific Gas and Electric Co., effective Dec. 15. As part of a leadership succession plan initiated in November 2016, Earley was elected to serve as executive chair of the parent company's board. In March, he was succeeded by Geisha Williams as CEO and president of PG&E. As of Dec. 15, Earley will also retire from being a PG&E employee. To replace his position on the board, the directors elected Richard Kelly to serve as the independent nonexecutive chair of the board, effective Dec. 16.
* Westinghouse Electric Co. LLC appointed Ken Canavan to the position of chief technology officer, effective Jan. 2, 2018. Canavan most recently served as director of engineering for the Electric Power Research Institute, according to a Nov. 30 news release.
* Since the announcement of the merger agreement between Vistra Energy Corp. and Dynegy Inc., both companies have been working diligently to map out the necessary steps for a successful transition and integration. President and CEO Curt Morgan in a Dec. 1 letter to employees noted adjustments he made to the management committee makeup and responsibilities of the people who will be reporting to him, namely: Sano Blocker, senior vice president of government affairs; Jim Burke, executive vice president and COO; Amanda Frazier, vice president of regulatory policy; Sara Graziano, senior vice president of corporate development and strategy; Bill Holden, executive vice president and CFO; Carrie Kirby, executive vice president and chief administrative officer; Ravi Malick, senior vice president and chief information officer; Stephanie Zapata Moore, executive vice president and general counsel; Steve Muscato, senior vice president and COO. Scott Hudson will continue as senior vice president and president of the retail business, reporting to Jim Burke.
* Charles Pryor Jr. notified the DTE Energy Co. board of directors of his intention to retire as director effective as of May 3, 2018. Pryor's decision to retire after almost 19 years of service is not a result of any disagreement with management, the company stated in a Nov. 29 filing.
Midstream/Gas Utility
* Callon Petroleum Co. on Dec. 7 named James Ulm II as senior vice president and CFO, effective Dec. 11. His most recent position has been as founder and managing partner of New Vista Energy Partners, a private E&P company focused on emerging resource plays in the Permian and Anadarko Basins. As of the effective date of Ulm's appointment, Correne Loeffler, currently interim CFO, will retain her role as Callon's Treasurer. In addition, Callon also appointed Michol Ecklund as vice president and general counsel.
* Justine Munro has resigned as an independent director of the Z Energy board. Munro was appointed to the board in May 2013 and is stepping down to focus on her new venture, the 21C Skills Lab, an organisation focused on the changing nature of work and ensuring young people have the skills to succeed in a rapidly changing global economy, according to a Dec. 6 news release.
* On Dec. 6, Ward McNeilly gave notice to Antero Midstream GP LP of his intent to retire as senior vice president of reserves, planning & midstream of the general partner of AMGP, effective May 1, 2018.
* Southwestern Energy Co. named Clayton Carrell new executive vice president and COO, effective Dec. 5. Prior to his appointment, Carrell was EP Energy Corp.'s executive vice president and COO since 2012. He also serves on the industry board of the Texas A&M Petroleum Engineering Department, according to a Dec. 4 news release.
Coal
* CONSOL Energy Inc. appointed Kurt Salvatori and Deborah Lackovic as board members of the partnership's general partner to fill the vacancies created by the resignations of Nicholas DeIuliis and Stephen Johnson, effective Nov. 29.
