Olympic Group Corp. fiscal Q1 profit climbs YOY

Olympic Group Corp. said its normalized net income for the fiscal first quarter ended May 31 amounted to ¥9.90 per share, an increase from ¥2.70 per share in the year-earlier period.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was ¥227.5 million, an increase from ¥62.5 million in the prior-year period.

The normalized profit margin rose to 0.9% from 0.3% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue rose on an annual basis to ¥25.97 billion from ¥24.87 billion, and total operating expenses rose from the prior-year period to ¥25.67 billion from ¥24.75 billion.

Reported net income increased year over year to ¥203.0 million, or ¥8.84 per share, from ¥89.0 million, or ¥3.84 per share.
