GV, formerly Google Ventures, led the $10 million series A financing round for Pasadena, Calif.-based virtual restaurant concept Kitchen United Inc.
Kitchen United co-founders Harry Tsao and John Miller also committed to the fund, alongside other investors. Adam Ghobarah, general partner at GV, will serve on Kitchen United's board.
The company will use the capital for U.S. expansion, including opening new sites in Columbus, Ohio; Los Angeles; Atlanta; Phoenix; Seattle; Denver; and New York City by the end of 2019. It will also be used in building the company's real estate, marketing, engineering and operations functions.
GV is the venture capital arm of technology giant Alphabet Inc.
