Marine Harvest profit beats consensus by 33.6% in Q1

4914980 said its first-quarter normalized net income came to 23 euro cents per share, compared with the S&P Capital IQ consensus estimate of 17 cents per share.

EPS climbed year over year from 5 cents.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was €104.4 million, a gain from €32.8 million in the prior-year period.

The normalized profit margin climbed to 13.0% from 4.5% in the year-earlier period.

otal revenue increased 9.3% on an annual basis to €804.8 million from €736.5 million, and total operating expenses declined 12.6 Marine Harvest ASA.
