Amazon rolls out Flex delivery service in Australia

Amazon.com Inc. is expanding its on-demand delivery service Amazon Flex to Australia, starting with Sydney and Melbourne.

The service, which was launched in September 2015, allows gig workers to earn money by delivering Amazon packages to customers.

The rollout in Australia comes as Amazon expands its business in the country since launching its e-commerce marketplace there in December 2017.

Amazon Australia said the launch of Amazon Flex in the country will allow the online retailer to expand its delivery network and speed up deliveries for customers.
