DCM Holdings fiscal Q1 profit climbs 23.7% YOY

DCM Holdings Co. Ltd. said its normalized net income for the fiscal first quarter ended May 31 came to ¥29.41 per share, a gain of 25.9% from ¥23.36 per share in the year-earlier period.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was ¥4.07 billion, an increase of 23.7% from ¥3.29 billion in the year-earlier period.

The normalized profit margin rose to 3.4% from 3.0% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue grew 6.4% on an annual basis to ¥118.23 billion from ¥111.13 billion, and total operating expenses increased 5.4% year over year to ¥111.73 billion from ¥106.04 billion.

Reported net income rose 20.9% on an annual basis to ¥3.92 billion, or ¥28.32 per share, from ¥3.24 billion, or ¥23.01 per share.
