Alpha Group fiscal Q2 profit climbs YOY

Alpha Group Inc. said its normalized net income for the fiscal second quarter ended Sept. 30 came to ¥12.63 per share, a gain from ¥2.33 per share in the prior-year period.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was ¥38.1 million, a gain from ¥6.9 million in the year-earlier period.

The normalized profit margin climbed to 0.6% from 0.1% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue climbed year over year to ¥6.79 billion from ¥6.64 billion, and total operating expenses increased on an annual basis to ¥6.72 billion from ¥6.62 billion.

Reported net income totaled ¥69.0 million, or ¥22.86 per share, compared to a loss of ¥19.2 million, or a loss of ¥6.48 per share, in the year-earlier period.
