Centene Corp. announced that the New York State Office of the Attorney General has approved the company's pending acquisition of Fidelis Care.

The company expects that the transaction will close on or about July 1.

In September 2017, Centene entered into an agreement to buy substantially all the assets of Fidelis Care for $3.75 billion. Per terms of the deal, Fidelis Care will become Centene's health plan in New York state.
