Report: French businessman could sell Neoen for stake in Engie

French businessman Jacques Veyrat may sell renewable energy developer Neoen SA to Engie SA in return for a small interest in Engie, Reuters reported May 21.

Veyrat controls a stake of more than 50% in Neoen, Reuters reported, citing French news channel BFM Business.

Any Engie-related deal will need the French government's approval since the state holds a 24% stake in the company.
