Hallador Energy Co. on Aug. 5 posted second-quarter 2019 net loss of $3.3 million, or negative 11 cents per share, compared with a net loss of $23,000 in the same quarter in 2018.
Revenue for the quarter totaled $72.3 million, up from $57.2 million a year ago.
The company sold 1.8 million tons of coal in the quarter, compared with 1.5 million tons in the same period a year earlier. The average sales price was $39.35 per ton, compared with $38.54 a year ago.
