ANA Holdings fiscal Q2 profit climbs 30.7% YOY

All Nippon Airways Co. Ltd. said its normalized net income for the fiscal second quarter ended Sept. 30 was ¥121.98 per share, an increase of 30.5% from ¥93.44 per share in the prior-year period.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was ¥42.65 billion, an increase of 30.7% from ¥32.63 billion in the year-earlier period.

The normalized profit margin rose to 8.6% from 7.0% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue increased 6.3% on an annual basis to ¥497.34 billion from ¥468.00 billion, and total operating expenses rose on an annual basis to ¥427.30 billion from ¥410.40 billion.

Reported net income grew 41.2% on an annual basis to ¥45.60 billion, or ¥130.41 per share, from ¥32.28 billion, or ¥92.45 per share.
