Global Yellow Pages fiscal Q3 profit climbs YOY

Global Yellow Pages Ltd. said its normalized net income for the fiscal third quarter ended March 31 came to S$386,000, an increase from S$119,130 in the prior-year period.

Normalized net income excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis.

The normalized profit margin climbed to 8.4% from 2.2% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue rose 57.7% year over year to S$8.5 million from S$5.4 million, and total operating expenses rose 20.1% on an annual basis to S$7.4 million from S$6.2 million.

Reported net income fell 41.7% year over year to S$266,000, or 0 cents per share, from S$456,000, or 0 cents per share.
