Julius Bär hires former Barclays wealth managers for new Edinburgh office

Switzerland-based Julius Bär Gruppe AG has hired five former relationship managers from the wealth management unit of U.K. banking group Barclays Plc for a new office it will open in Edinburgh, Scotland, in the second quarter of 2018, finews.ch reported Feb. 14.

In November 2017, the Swiss group hired Gordon Scott, another ex-Barclays banker, to head its operations in Scotland, Northern Ireland and North England. Julius Bär has two offices in North England, in the cities of Manchester and Leeds; another in Glasgow, Scotland; and one in Belfast, Northern Ireland.

The new hires include Ross Clephane, Paul Turnbull, Alan Colquhoun, James Osborne and Stuart Paterson.
