Municipality Finance names interim CEO to permanent post

Kuntarahoitus Oyj, or Municipality Finance, named Esa Kallio its president and CEO, effective immediately.

Kallio has acted as the Finnish lender's interim president and CEO since August 2017. Prior to the role, he worked as executive vice president and deputy CEO responsible for Municipality Finance's funding and treasury functions.

The Finnish lender also appointed Mari Tyster deputy CEO. She is currently the company's executive vice president for legal and governance and a member of its executive management team.

Joakim Holmström and Rainer Holm were also named to Municipality Finance's executive management team. Holmström, who joined the company in 2008 and has been heading its funding operations since 2010, will oversee the lender's capital markets operations. Holm has been the company's head of IT, information solutions and business development operations since 2016. The appointments are effective March 1.
