Coventry extends Stellar project with 70 new copper-gold mining claims

Coventry Resources Ltd. staked an additional 70 state mining claims, extending its Stellar copper-gold project in Alaska, it said Aug. 9.

The claims cover obvious extensions of the copper and gold soil geochemical anomaly hosting the Zackly, Mars, Jupiter, Gemini and Moonwalk prospects.

The new claims will be subject to the same royalty and milestone payments to Millrock Resources Inc. unit Millrock Alaska LLC as the remainder of the Stellar project.

Meanwhile, the company has kicked off exploration in Alaska, and geological and structural mapping is underway at the Caribou Dome prospect.

During 2017, Coventry intends to conduct diamond drilling and surveying at the Zackly skarn, and undertake surveying, geological mapping and rock-chip sampling at the Mars and Senator copper-gold targets.
