Jasmine Telecom Systems Q1 loss widens YOY

Jasmine Telecom Systems PCL said its normalized net income for the first quarter amounted to a loss of 5 satang per share, compared with a loss of 1 satang per share in the year-earlier period.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was a loss of 35.7 million baht, compared with a loss of 7.8 million baht in the prior-year period.

The normalized profit margin fell to negative 228.4% from negative 41.6% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue decreased on an annual basis to 18.0 million baht from 18.7 million baht, and total operating expenses climbed year over year to 72.5 million baht from 27.8 million baht.

Reported net income came to a loss of 57.5 million baht, or a loss of 8 satang per share, compared to a loss of 12.4 million baht, or a loss of 2 satang per share, in the year-earlier period.

As of May 13, US$1 was equivalent to 35.48 baht.
