Aska Corp. said its normalized net income for the fiscal fourth quarter ended Nov. 30, 2015, was a loss of ¥12.89 per share, compared with ¥8.43 per share in the year-earlier period.
Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was a loss of ¥73.6 million, compared with income of ¥48.1 million in the prior-year period.
The normalized profit margin declined to negative 1.5% from 1.0% in the year-earlier period.
Total revenue increased on an annual basis to ¥5.04 billion from ¥4.92 billion, and total operating expenses rose on an annual basis to ¥4.97 billion from ¥4.90 billion.
Reported net income came to a loss of ¥175.0 million, or a loss of ¥30.65 per share, compared to income of ¥41.0 million, or ¥7.18 per share, in the prior-year period.
For the year, the company's normalized net income totaled ¥32.49 per share, a fall of 28.0% from ¥45.10 per share in the prior year.
Normalized net income was ¥185.5 million, a decline of 28.0% from ¥257.5 million in the prior year.
Full-year total revenue increased from the prior-year period to ¥19.09 billion from ¥18.81 billion, and total operating expenses came to ¥18.72 billion, compared with ¥18.54 billion in the year-earlier period.
The company said reported net income decreased 85.8% year over year to ¥32.0 million, or ¥5.60 per share, in the full year, from ¥225.0 million, or ¥39.41 per share.
