Stifel Financial Corp. unit Stifel Nicolaus & Co. Inc. hired three advisers that managed $243 million in assets overall.

Kevin Bay previously was an independent adviser at his own firm, Kevin Bay Investments, where he managed $128 million in client assets. He will join the company's office in Brookfield, Wis.

Nick Bearden joined the company's Brevard, N.C.-based office, having previously worked at Edward Jones, where he managed $75 million in client assets. Steven Schwary joined the company in Newport Beach, Calif., from Wells Fargo Advisors, where he managed $40 million in client assets.
