Vijaya Bank to issue 13B rupees of bonds

Vijaya Bank plans to raise 13 billion Indian rupees through the issuance of Additional Tier 1 bonds.

The bank said in a Dec. 3 release that the bonds will qualify as Basel III capital and will be issued in fiscal 2017-2018.

As of Dec. 1, US$1 was equivalent to 64.49 Indian rupees.
