Reunion Gold defines new resource for Dorlin project's Nivre deposit

Reunion Gold Corp. on March 14 announced an updated resource estimate for the Nivre deposit within the Dorlin gold project in French Guiana.

The deposit hosts indicated resources of 665,000 ounces of gold contained within 18.9 million tonnes at 1.09 g/t, and inferred resources of 883,000 ounces of gold within 26 million tonnes at 1.06 g/t. A cutoff of 0.40 g/t was used for the colluvium/laterite and saprolite domains, 0.53 g/t was applied for transition and 0.63 g/t was used for fresh rock.

The resource is based on historical and recent drilling, including 58 holes totaling 6,584 meters completed by the company in 2018.

Reunion Gold highlighted the potential to expand resources since the deposit is open at depth and in all directions. It plans to carry out more induced polarization surveys to test all remaining gold-in-soil targets in the second quarter, followed by a 4,000-meter drill program in the third and fourth quarters.

The company has an option to acquire 75% of Dorlin from Auplata SA by completing a feasibility study and spending a least US$3 million over three years.
