Report: Thoma Bravo mulls raising $15B fund in early 2020

Thoma Bravo LLC may raise a new $15 billion fund in early 2020, Bloomberg News reported, citing people familiar with the matter.

The technology-focused private equity firm could open its 14th flagship fund as soon as the first half of 2020, sources told the news agency, with one saying Thoma Bravo executives believe there is enough software deal flow on the horizon to justify the new fund.

A Thoma Bravo representative declined to comment.

The Chicago-based firm raised $12.6 billion for its latest flagship fund, Thoma Bravo Fund XIII LP, in January.
