CEZ acquires 116-MW wind portfolio in France from ABO Wind

CEZ a. s. purchased a 116.5-MW portfolio in France that consists of eight wind farms in different stages of development from ABO Wind AG.

ABO Wind plans to connect the projects to the grid over the next few years as they enter service while retaining operational management, according to a Jan. 16 news release. ABO Wind, a German renewable energy developer, said it secured remuneration for the projects under a tariff system where it will receive an inflation-indexed feed-in payment of approximately €80/MWh over 15 years via market premiums.

This is CEZ's second purchase of wind projects from ABO Wind in France; it acquired a 100-MW portfolio in 2017.
