Landshypotek Bank AB issued a 5.25 billion-kronor green bond, the largest issuance in the debt class in Sweden.
The bond, which will mature in five years, is backed by certified forests or forests with green forest management plans, the bank said May 17. Proceeds will be used to finance sustainable forestry projects in Sweden.
The offering attracted interests from local and foreign investors, with books reaching 12 billion kronor after only 30 minutes.
As of May 17, US$1 was equivalent to 8.74 Swedish kronor.
