Intesa Sanpaolo obtains ECB approval to apply Danish compromise

Italian banking group Intesa Sanpaolo SpA said it obtained ECB approval to calculate its consolidated capital ratios by applying the so-called Danish compromise method, as of the regulatory filings for Sept. 30, 2019.

Under the Danish compromise, insurance investments are risk weighted instead of being deducted from capital.
